About

Hi, I’m Meredith — your guide, motivator, occasional comedian, and certified Hatha yoga instructor (trained under Bikram Choudhury in spring 2007, though I’ve been sweating it out on the mat since 2004). My philosophy? Yoga doesn’t have to be serious to be effective. If we can laugh together while wobbling through Tree Pose, then we’re doing it right.
Before stepping fully into the yoga world, I spent 15 years in sales at some of the biggest names in the corporate world. I earned Rookie of the Year, Salesperson of the Year, and plenty of hard-fought wins along the way. Sales taught me resilience, persistence, and how to thrive under pressure — all qualities that tie directly into yoga. The same way you push through the heat of a tough class is how I learned to push through challenges in business: one breath, one step, one determined smile at a time.
I grew up in a family where marathon medals were more common than cereal boxes, so movement has always been in my DNA. Years of competitive soccer taught me grit, teamwork, and how to keep my balance when life (or a very aggressive defender) tried to knock me down. Yoga became my secret sauce: the perfect mix of discipline, sweat, humility, and joy.
In my classes, I want you to feel challenged, supported, and hopefully a little entertained. I love hearing people’s stories, getting to know them, and reminding everyone that yes — you can do yoga, even if your hamstrings are tighter than my dogs Ruby and Roger on a leash. With the help of positive reinforcement, encouragement, and maybe the occasional bad joke, we’ll sweat it out together.

These days, you can find me in sunny San Diego with my amazing partner Ryan, our two small dogs (Ruby and Roger, also known as “class clowns”), and our kitten Bella (the diva of the household). When I’m not teaching, I’m probably cheering on my teams — Go Giants, Go Padres, and most importantly, Go Niners!!! Family is at the center of everything I do, whether it’s Sunday dinners, beach days, or yelling at the TV during football season.
At the end of the day, I believe yoga should feel like life: challenging, energizing, unpredictable, and best of all — full of laughter.
